Putting data into columns

I have chosen Kippis template with the 3 columns, but I can’t figure out how to put my data into the two side columns. I am making fixed or static web pages for the church’s website. My old website created through Dreamweaver is displayed right now and I am trying to create the new website through WordPress behind the scene so to speak. So I am brand new to WordPress and have been reading but can’t find anything related to this.
