1- Not possible to force the orientation or the delay.
What delay you think will be better?
2- Send me the qrcode that cause the menu issue and I’ll check.

1) unfortunately yes, it opens in landscape mode (even with phone in portrait position) – delay – why there should be some time limit? Without limit it will be better
2) It is not about exact QR code, any code with URL target opens webpage and there is no way ho to close this window, swipe for menu doesnot work. Would be nice to open this target, but still be able to see app menu and some close button for opened page (Android phone, I did not tested on iOS)
Check this plugin: https://github.com/aigenseer/qr-scanner-redirect This looks much better for me (but it has some problems on iOS 🙁 )

When a page is opened in the app outside of your app website, it should have a X on top to close this page.
Can you send me a screenshot?
Oh yes, I can see it now – everytime after few seconds (I deleted cache, is it ok to use it with autoptimize?). But that closing X does not work, nothing happens if I click on it.. so still no way how to close window with opened URL
(and If I open QR scanner earlier before I have my phone next to some QR code, after second I will get error message because of that short delay)

You can reopen the scanner when you have the qrcode ready, not a big issue ; )
