    I wish to add a link in the floating action bar that opens up the QR code scanner directly. (NOT leads to a new page > then the user has to click to open the scanner)

    This was solved a couple of months back, but it appears the code that was provided no longer works anymore:
    javascript:wpmobile_qrcode();

    Could you please provide an updated link? Thank you!

    Hi

    To make this link work you have to add the “qrcode widget” on the page.
    You can hide it with css but it have to be on the page to embed the javascript function ; )
