The client was hoping for the ability to adjust quantities before clicking “Add to cart” — is this functionality possible? or do you think you could give me some code to alter the PHP so I could include it?

That plugin is the pro version of this plugin.
You only need to use one. Please check the URL I submitted above and if you have any questions in regards to eStore plugin ask them in the website above.
