Query filter based on Author – User Role?

I can’t see an option to include this as a filter query, I need it to be able to filter a query based on custom user roles, for example, if post author is example-role-1 filter those users to the top, else if author role was example-role-2 filter those posts to the end. Both roles need to be displayed but filtered based on a specific user role. Is this possible?
