I can’t relate to what you’re describing. For me, the headlines and texts match the posts they link to. Have you been able to solve the problem yet?
No, I haven’t. Are you saying that the headlines and texts match on your own blog, or that you’re looking at my blog and not seeing the problem?
Here’s what’s still happening on my own blog:
- Visit themonstersknow.com. You’ll see that the latest post is titled “Unspeakable Horror Tactics,” and the text begins, “Sorry for my silence.”
- Scroll down past the fifth post and click on “Older Posts.”
- Now the top post on the page is “Dullahan Tactics.” However, the text beneath it still begins, “Sorry for my silence.” This isn’t the case with the other posts on the page, just the top one.
- Scroll down and click on “Older Posts” again. Now the top post is “Death’s Head and Boneless Tactics,” and again, the text begins, “Sorry for my silence.”
- Click through on the title. The text on the actual post page is correct, beginning, “Hello, hello!”
This is continuing to happen even though I just wrote and posted a new post yesterday. The repeated text on each page was updated with the text of the new post, but the glitch remains.
I also notice that it’s not doing this with the query loops on tag or archive pages. This is happening only on the home page.
I’m not sure how or why this worked, but I turned on the “Inherit query from template” setting in the query loop block, and that seems to have cleared the problem up.
This could be this bug in Gutenberg:
https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/42675
Could you install the Gutenberg plugin? Does it work correctly with this plugin? If not, the problem still exists and you should report it there as a bug.
I don’t have the Gutenberg plugin.
You use the Gutenberg features included in WordPress. These always have an older development status, which is why my recommendation is to install the Gutenberg plugin, which contains the current development status. This is to see if the problem you are experiencing still occurs with this plugin.
