Hi rafaelzrt!
Thank you for reaching out and sharing the details of your project. It sounds like an interesting setup! Since you mentioned having some experience with LearnPress, could you clarify what you mean by “classes” within the course? Are you referring to: Sections or specific items like lessons, quizzes,… within a course?
Once we have a bit more detail, we’ll be happy to provide guidance on how best to implement this within LearnPress, including any potential solutions for moving students between classes if needed.
Looking forward to your response!
Best regards,
Brianvu-tp
Hello, thank you for the reply.
Sorry, I don’t know if I was clear in english, I couldn’t find a proper word for this. I really mean a “class”, for example I will have a Course about Something and some stundents will purchase today and they will be from “2024 class”, then I will close new subscriptions and reopen later. Students that purchase next year will be “2025 class”, and so on.
Moving students from one class to another may be interesting too in some cases for example a student that entered today couldn’t complete payment and wishes to enter in next year.
As this will be an offline course, it makes some sense for this project.
Hi rafaelzrt,
Thank you for your clarification!
Just to ensure we fully understand your requirements, could you confirm if the setup you are looking for is something like this:
- In 2024, a student purchases Course A on December 31, 2024. This student will be assigned to the 2024 class.
- On January 1, 2025, new enrollments will automatically be assigned to the 2025 class.
- Students from the 2024 class may need to repurchase the course in 2025 to continue learning and then be reassigned to the 2025 class.
Or:
- Do you mean that when a student purchases a course today (e.g., November 29, 2024), they are assigned to the 2024 class and have a 1-year duration? After that, on November 29, 2025, their access will expire, and if they repurchase the course, they will be assigned to the 2025 class.
Once we better understand this, we can offer a more tailored solution for your project!
Looking forward to your response!
Best regards,
Brianvu-tp

Hello, it is more like this.
As the courses will be offline, the instructors will have to open and close it when they have a class ready to start near the date they schedule for the class.
Instructors must open and close ‘classes’ when they properly teach their course on the scheduled day. And then in the future when they are ready for a new ‘class’, they would open the course again for new registrations.
So, the Learnpress course will have lessons, guidelines for face-to-face classes, relevant documents and maybe some online classes and quizzes. But we would like to be able to close and reopen for registrations from time to time. And new students in the future should then enter a new ‘class’ (class of 2024, class of 2025.. or class 1, class 2), it would be important for instructors to have this differentiation.
Another question, please. In our project, students should only pass the course if the instructors manually set them as approved, as this is an offline course, they will have to see who goes to the course. Is this a way to do this in Learnpress?
