Question on affiliate link

Hi, I got 2 questions on the affiliate links.
1. Let’s say my default affiliate link is set to http://www.website.com but my product sales page is http://www.website.com/product

Will my affiliates get a commission if the visitors they refer buy from http://www.website.com/product?

2. Do they have to use the html snippet?
<img src="xxx" /><a href="http://website.com/?wpam_id=1" title="xxx">Buy Now</a>

Or is just an anchor text is enough?
<a href="http://website.com/?wpam_id=1" title="xxx">Buy Now</a>
