    Hello!

This topic is just a couple of questions before start using your plugin.
    1. I read that email notification are sent as post published or as digest. But how exactly this happens?
I mean this: if we need to send 10.000 emails. Will they be sent all 10k one after another or by portions?

    2. I use plugin “post to post” http://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/posts-to-posts/ So I need to have possibility to subscribe not to all posts but to posts which somehow related to some other post. For example, there are blog post and there are reviews (as custom post). Each review is related to some blog post. If visitor subscribes to some blog post. He will receive an email each time a new review related to this blog post is posted.
I know it’s impossible out-of-the-box. But may be can it be achieved somehow through some filters/actions? Of course if your plugin provide any filters/actions.

Thanks in advance for your support!

  • @zehrgut,

1/ Subscribe2 is a notification plugin, not an email management system. So, in answer to your question and using your example the plugin would attempt to send all 10.000 emails at once, once after another. (This behaviour can be changed by other WordPress plugins that implement mail queueing like WPMQ for example)

2/ I cannot think of an easy way to alter the behaviour of Subscribe2 through any current or future actions or filters that would enable a “related posts” style subscription. Subscribe2 works for posts and categories (with category based subscriptions restricted to registered users).
