• I have questions: 1. Where does the plugin store the required proof of consent? 2. Does the plugin remove cookies from categories if consent is withdrawn?

I will be grateful for the information.

    Hi,

I would like to provide you with the details regarding the operation of our plugin in terms of cookie storage:

The plugin stores the following cookies:

    • flexible_cookies_accepted_categories – stores the categories of cookies that have been accepted by the user.
    • flexible_cookies_accepted – contains the date when the user gave consent for cookies to be stored.
    • flexible_cookies_accepted_all – indicates whether the user has consented to all available cookies.
    • flexible_cookies_scanner_running – this cookie is intended for administrators only and is valid for 10 minutes. It is added when the cookie scanner is run.

Yes, the plugin automatically adjusts cookies according to the user’s current consent settings. If the user updates their cookie preferences, the plugin will adjust the allowed cookies accordingly, ensuring compliance with the new settings.

    Thank you for the information.

I tested the plugin on your website. For example, I consented to Analytical cookies. I checked by pressing F12 that cookies _ga appeared. Then I withdrew my consent and checked again by pressing F12 and _ga* were still there. I thought they should disappear.

      Hi,

I would like to ask if you tested the plugin on our demo site, or if you were referring to the main WP Desk website? I would appreciate it if you could send a link to the page where you conducted the tests, so we can investigate this case further.

      Hi,

I have received feedback from the developer after investigating this issue, and it appears that the problem affects users who have caching enabled on their website. The developer plans to work on improving this aspect of the plugin in future updates. However, at this moment, the best solution would be to disable caching, as this should prevent the issue from occurring.

If you have the ability to disable caching on your site, please give it a try and let me know if the problem persists.

Thank you for your understanding and patience. If you need any further assistance, feel free to reach out!
