    Greetings,

my name is Florian and I am working on a scientific project for the university of applied sciences in lower Austria. We are using your fantastic tool and plugin for statistical purposes on one of our websites. I would like to ask you some questions regarding the visits and visitors count. I hope you can help me soon as it’s necessary for a scientific project:

-) How exactly are visits and visitors counted? (Default Settings on PlugIn)
-) Are #visits on website identical to HTTP Requests. This means does every image that is opend count as visit or only visited HTML pages?
-) A visit is the number of visitors identified by a unique session cookie I assume?

    Thank you in advance.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Florian

  • #1 You could investigate by looking at wp_statistics_pages etc tables in your database.
#2 Generally http requests for some image upload, would not even trigger WordPress php to run, so no.
#3 You could test that theory out I don’t know much about their code to tell you.
