Quick Edit Sorting?

Is it possible to sort the slides faster than going into each slide page and changing the number value? It would be much faster if in the quick edit section of the list of slides you could change the number (1, 2, 3, etc.). I see the number listed in the Quick Edit area but it’s not editable.
