    Hi

    I’m having an issue/question about the quick-search.

In the link I provided, I have enabled a quick search.
The quicksearch works as expected and searches through all fields that I set it up to.

But if I do a quick-search and the results are displayed, the search-term that is entered is displayed in the first field of the advanced search that I display there. That could be confusing to some visitors, because despite searching the term in muliple fields, that indicates that the search only is applied for this specific field (in my example the field “Firma” (name of the business), but since it’s also possible to search for location or city, that is pretty confusing).

Is there a way that the search term doesn’t get filled in the search-field on advanced search in the search-results page?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @domrohrer

Thank you for reaching out about this. I’m Garret from the customer success team and I’ll be happy to help with this.

We have an option to hide the advanced search field with results in our settings. You can find this by going to Directory > Settings > Listings > Searching.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a way to prevent the search field from being filled as mentioned.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or issues!

    Hi Garret

    Thanks for your reply.

Can you consider to fix this in a future update?

My site is built in a way, that the user can select a search-term via link and then having some results already shown, while he has the option to then specify the search via advanced search. So the option of disabling advanced search with the results is not a option for me.

My tests have shown that the string I entered in the quicksearch is then shown in every search field on the advanced search that has a string-search.
This is extremly consusing if a user then wants to go ahead and search on the advanced search on the result page, especially if I have multiple string-searchfields that then all show this term for the specification of the search.

Thank you for considering fixing this, since in my optinion this is a bug or at least a improvement that can make this feature more easy to use for the user.

    Hey @domrohrer

I can certainly create a report for the developers regarding this.

We don’t yet have an estimate on when this issue will be resolved, so it may not be right away.

We do apologize for any inconvenience in the meantime.

    Best,
