Quiz Master Crashed backend

    Last night (9/27/2021) all of a sudden the backend crashed and couldn’t access or login. the front end of the site worked but not the backend, could log in.

    I got a “There has been a critical error on this website” error message every time I tried to access the backend. My host did a check and found that Quizmaster Plugin was causing it and had to disable it to get to the backend.

    I run a large site with lots of traffic and growing I can’t have something worse happen and will not activate the plugin until I know there is a fix.

    I did but when I clicked on getting support it took me straight back here? I don’t have time to be jumping around to multiple places, I can just find a different solution elsewhere. I was hoping to get some help here as there is nowhere else to go for support.

    I request you to please setup a staging website for us using WP Staging plugin and then share the issue at here as well: https://quizandsurveymaster.com/open-ticket/

    As it is very difficult to further investigate the issue in the forum.

    @expresstechsupport I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums, whether on a staging site or production..

    Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

    If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

    Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us escalating this to the plugins team.

    It’s never necessary to do that. Here’s why.

    There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.

    You get the idea.

    Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.
