Quiz Plugin Stopped Working. HELP!

    I had a big test on my site with Quiz Cat. I made a big mistake for not saving the questions and answers of this test. Today the plugin stopped working for no reason on my end. I can’t uninstall and instal it back. I hope it is still possible to return the test I had. Could you please check if there is any bug? The plugin for some reason deactivated itself. Here is the message I get when I click on Activate button.

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
    Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /var/www/vhosts/15cor.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/quiz-cat/includes/functions.php on line 329

    I’m very sorry we were not able to respond to you sooner. We have been shorthanded for a while and are now getting caught up.

    This is quite strange behavior. We don’t have any other users reporting similar issues, nor have we been able to reproduce this.

    That means the issue is caused by something unique to your site. Most likely a conflict with another plugin, or the theme. We will need to do some testing to see if that is the case and find the culprit.

    To search for conflicts, please follow these steps.

    1. First please deactivate all plugins except Quiz Car and see if the issue persists.
    2. If the issue is resolved, reactivate your plugins one by one trying to activate Quiz Cat after each. (or possibly waiting for it to deactivate itself again).
    3. If no conflict is found among your plugins, try reverting to a default WP theme like ‘Twenty Sixteen’, or ‘Twenty Seventeen’, and see if the issue is resolved.
