quote not changing since update
-
the quote doesn’t change anymore since updating WP and the plugin.

Defining “change” as refresh …I have the same problem on WP 3.2 and plugin v1.5.1 – any way to fix this?
I’m sorry I don’t have a clue looking at it from the outside. Are you using the template function or the widget. What paramaters/options do you define?
Hi Srini,
I’m not using a widget I’m using the short code [quote|random] in the page.
It worked before I updated the plugin.
Thanks
~ Ruth
Thanks. Fixed in version 1.5.2.
[quote|random]will work, but let me remind you that a new shortcode format is available in versions 1.5 and above. You can use[quotcoll orderby="random" limit=1].Oh I didn’t know you had changed the short code. I’ll go through the site and update to the new one and fix the styling issues too.
Thanks a lot
Hi, Srini.
I’m using the widget. I updated to 1.5.2 and it still doesn’t rotate using the Ajax option on Firefox 5. When activated, the 2nd quote never appears and the widget becomes blank. Thanks for checking!
Johnmangoman, please provide a link to the site where this problem occurs.
Sure – here’s a sample page:
http://joekutchera.com/workshops-speaking/Works fine in Safari; broken en FF (Mac).
– JohnFirebug says,
document.getElementById(“wp-version-message”) is null
http://joekutchera.com/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.6.1
Line 17Not sure what that means.
From when is this problem? After upgrading WP to 3.2 or after upgrading the plugin to 1.5?
I don’t know what that means either….this doesn’t show up in your version of WP 3.2?
I verified that the version on the server is the same in WP 3.2.1 – what else could it be?
I’m using version 1.5.2 and wordpress 3.2.1
everything is running normally
even with youtubetimedesain: Yes, “your mileage may vary” – I’m trying to determine where that code comes from and fix the display on FF, so your configuration may be different. As I said, it works on Safari but not on FF, thus my inquiry.
Yes, I use the plugin myself in two of my sites in WP 3.2.1, plugin version 1.5.2, and it’s working perfectly.
John, it could be that there is a conflict with another plugin that uses jQuery. Try deactivating other plugins one by one, especially those that use jQuery, and check if the quotes refresh. Once you find the source of the problem, we can find a way out.
Yep, one by one …in alphabetical order …and it had to be one that began with “WP”, naturally.
Thanks!!
John
