Rallied my client’s website refresh!
-
A new client was recently referred to me whose site was built on WordPress but in the most curious way. It was not only aging, but the manner in which it was constructed was very difficult to work with. Not only that, but she had a very detailed contact form (basically an intake form for prospective new students at her nursery school) that was laid out in 4 sections. I left that for last, wondering as I worked how I would be able to replace the form. When I got there, I knew I had to search for a different contact form than I had used previously to satisfy this client’s specific needs. Thankfully Formidable Forms came up first in my search and it only took a little bit of reading up on the features to know I’d come to the right place. My client was on a budget, yet I went ahead with the upgrade to accommodate a few features we wouldn’t have otherwise been able to reproduce (the price was reasonable enough to make this an easy decision). There was a bit of a learning curve but nothing out of the ordinary, and in 3-4 hours I had reproduced her complex form the way it was originally built, including the time to set up the API for ReCaptcha and testing the form. It looks a little different, actually it’s cleaner looking in the page, and she was delighted with the first test email I sent. Huge win all the way around!
