Hi @bmamedia,
Thanks for reporting this issue!
To help us look into it further, could you please confirm whether you’re using the PPWP Lite or PPWP Pro version? Also, are you using any caching or security plugins on your site? Sometimes, those can interfere with the password submission process.
If the issue persists, it might also help to check with your hosting provider for any server-side errors around the time the 502 appears.
Looking forward to your response!
We are using PPWP Lite.
We are using caching but have excluding the page in question from caching.
We are currently not using any security plugins.
We have checked the server logs and cannot determine the issue.
Thanks

HI @bmamedia,
Thanks for the update and for confirming that you’re using PPWP Lite.
It’s good to know you’ve already excluded the page from caching and aren’t using any security plugins. Since the issue seems intermittent and results in a 502 error, it could still be related to server resources or a conflict with another plugin or theme.
Could you try temporarily switching to a default theme (like Twenty Twenty-Four) and deactivating other plugins (except PPWP Lite) to see if the issue still occurs? This can help rule out any compatibility conflicts.
Also, if you’re using any firewall or reverse proxy service (like Cloudflare), it might be worth checking their logs as well.
Let us know how it goes, we’ll do our best to assist further!
It appears after doing more testing, the PPWP – Password Protect Pages plugin is causing the 502 error. It is even causing a 502 error now when I try to edit the password protect page in the WordPress dashboard. When I disable the plugin the error is gone.
