    Hi @airos10,

There’s nothing in the Age Gate plugin that should cause that issue.

The best things to do are to check the server logs, deactivate any plugins and see if it persists.

    Thanks
    Phil

    Hi @philsbury,

Actually that was what I did and currently the only way to solve is disabling age gate,

maybe I need to add some custom bot agent?

    I already added this:

    Mozilla/5.0 AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko; compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html) Chrome/W.X.Y.Z‡ Safari/537.36
    Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)
Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 5.0; SM-G920A) AppleWebKit (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome Mobile Safari (compatible; AdsBot-Google-Mobile; +http://www.google.com/mobile/adsbot.html)
    Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 9_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/601.1.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/9.0 Mobile/13B143 Safari/601.1 (compatible; AdsBot-Google-Mobile; +http://www.google.com/mobile/adsbot.html)
    Googlebot/2.1 (+http://www.google.com/bot.html)
    AdsBot-Google-Mobile-Apps
    Mozilla/5.0 AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko; Google Web Preview Analytics) Chrome/27.0.1453 Safari/537.36 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)
    Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 6.0.1; Nexus 5X Build/MMB29P) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/W.X.Y.Z‡ Mobile Safari/537.36 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)
    APIs-Google (+https://developers.google.com/webmasters/APIs-Google.html)ç

    Hi @airos10,

Sorry, perhaps I misunderstood, is this happening for all visitors or just Google Analytics?

Could be that the bot names have changed and/or my bot detection library is a bit out of date.

If it is this, you can try adding the user agents into the custom bot section and see if that sorts it while I update the library

    Thanks

    Hi @philsbury,

It’s happening every time I click on “Accept” using age gate to access to my websiste.

once accepted, it never happens again.

In addition to my last message:

When I click on “Accept” it redirects to me to: /wp-admin/admin-post.php

maybe I need to check “post to self” option?

    Hi @airos10,

Ok, not the bots then. Can you send me a link to have a look at, probably won’t tell me much but worth a shot.

Two other things to try though:

    1. Try switching the post method to “Post to self” in the advanced settings as something could be blocking posts to admin-post.php.
    2. if that doesn’t work, try switching to the javascript version and seeing it that works for you (also in advanced settings)

It seems like something is working to an extent though, as clicking yes is setting the cookie, which is why it works afterwards, seems like something is stopping the redirect back perhaps.

    Thanks
    Phil
