Random author taking over posts

    I have noticed that my last 5 posts the author has been changed to someone that I do not know. I have noticed 2 others that are registered as authors but there should be no other authors on my blog. Is there some way I can change the author of a post? Some way to lock it so that other people can’t register as authors?
    They are not writing anything though.

    Go to Settings>>General and change the default role of new members to Subscriber, if it isn’t already set.

    I’d also review the members of the site and change all of their roles (except yours) to Subscriber.

    It used to be easy to change a post’s author. Looks like WordPress removed that functionality. I just noticed that. Bad move.
