    Now using NGG 2.066.27.
Previously I had a sidebar nextgen widget set up to display 3 random images from a gallery. Like others I found that the random function has been broken by recent updates but because the widget (as far as I can tell) doesn’t have anywhere to put shortcodes I can’t fix my problem as others have. What is my solution?
    Thanks,
    John

@primaveranz – This is a known issue that will be corrected in the 2.0.67+ releases … there is a patch that can be applied or you can use the “recent” option instead of the “random” option as a work-around for now.

If you are interested in the “patch” please send us a Bug Report (http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) with your site specifics and a request for the “ngg-random-images-fix.patch”

    Thanks!

Thanks Cais, I’ll just wait for the official release.

    Cheers.

@primaveranz – Thanks … we do not have an exact ETA at this time, it may still be a few weeks out as we expect to be doing additional extensive testing for the load/performance enhancements being added among many other tweaks and corrections.
