Hi @jonathanc1,
With these old posts, is the “Do not share” checkbox on the post checked or not checked. It’s good practice if updating old posts to see whether this checkbox is checked or not. Thanks,

Hello,
Old posts are not being updated. Even two year old articles are being published.
Hi @jonathanc1,
Under normal circumstances, this really should not be possible. Our plugin hooks into the standard WordPress transition post status hook so that it can only run if the post has been created or updated.
The issue you have reported hasn’t been reported by anyone else, at least not recently. So typically the only way it is possible is if: 1) an old post is updated, or there might be some other plugin or automation which is updating the status of old posts. This might be a clean up routine or something like that. There’s no built-in clean up routine, but I am just mentioning that as an example of what a third party plugin might do and how this could possibly trigger a share process with our plugin.
With that said, if the do not share checkbox is checked, it truly should be impossible for the share to occur. So you may wish to ensure that checkbox is checked on old posts to prevent sharing.
Sorry I can’t give you anything more precise, I am just limited with the level of support I can give. if you consider the pro plugin: https://northernbeacheswebsites.com.au/autosocial/ I can provide more robust support which can include monitoring of post status changes on your site to help identify the root cause of the issue. Thanks,
