The random testimonial widget in the current version of Easy Testimonials no longer displays 1 testimonial properly. Instead it is treating it as if -1 is entered…all testimonials are being displayed. Changing the value to 2 results in 2 testimonials being displayed properly.

    Hey klars!

Can you change -1 to 1? -1 should translate to all testimonials (this passes through to the Count parameter, and in WordPress terms a count of -1 means ALL).

I’m not aware of anything in the plugin that has changed that would affect you in this way; as far as I understand -1 should have been showing all of the testimonials the whole time.

Anyways, can you try the suggested change and let me know what happens?

    Best,
    Richard

I did…if you read my original post, I mention that the widget is treating the entry of 1 as if I’m entering -1. I am setting it to 1. I’m not sure at which point this started to happen. This plugin has been on my client’s site for quite a while, so it could have been multiple updates before we noticed it being a problem.

I actually think this may not be the fault of Easy Testimonials, so you can close this if you want. I just happened to find another client’s site that had an old version of Easy Testimonials and used the same widget…updating the plugin did not result in the issue. So I think it’s an issue with our theme instead (Get Noticed by Michael Hyatt)

I’m sorry – I misunderstood the first post!

If you’d like, I’d be happy to try and troubleshoot a bit on the site that does have the issue. Maybe there is something we can do to address it from our end.

    All the best,
    Richard
