Hello @cliffjc
Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for the issue you are facing.
Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.
To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/
Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
Looking forward to helping you.
Hi, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. l followed the instructions you sent but came across on obvious obstacle when it said:
“Once you complete these steps, you are in troubleshooting mode.
All the plugins and the theme on your website have been disabled only for you.
To diagnose the root-cause of your problem,
you would enable Rank Math and keep it enabled at all times.”
l cannot enable RankMath because it’s not there. This is the whole issue. It’s vanished in its entirety.
Please advise how l may recover it. Or do l need to insert a new installation. Are my original settings for my 300+ products recoverable or must l needs start the whole thing again from scratch?
Many thanks,
Cliff

Hello @cliffjc
That is really unusual.
Please reinstall the plugin from the WordPress repository. No data should’ve been lost.
Please let us know.
Thank you.
Thanks for your super quick response. Well, it gets stranger; l tried to install it again and get the following: “Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.” So the folder exists in the backend somewhere but doesn’t show under installed plugins. Unfortunately l don’t have direct access to my folders & files, l would need to go through my developers for this at present but could ask them to check (They’re in India so very different time zone)
Thanks,
Cliff
Hello @cliffjc
Sorry to hear that.
Please delete the folder named seo-by-rank-math from the plugins folder and then reinstall the plugin.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you.
Hi, well l deleted the folder & stored it elsewhere just in case and then then installed another Rankmath. l then followed the instructions for the conflict tests having enabled troublshooting mode but it didn’t work as it should and l couldn’t continue with it as it was messing up the appearence of my site. However, when l disabled troubleshooting mode and went back to my dashboard with Rankmath enabled it was all working fine again! So all’s well. l had just prior to this had a number of plugins which needed updating which l did. it is possible that it was one of those which may have caused this issue though l’ve no way of knowing which. Anyway, very glad to have it working again. Thank you for your help.
Regards,
Cliff
