Hi,
Did you generate and enter API keys in widget?
Vladimir
Hi Vladimir,
Thank you for your response. I have to admit I don’t know what API keys are. I feel like it is something I’ve done in the past. I’m returning to website management after a break for a few years, so there are things I remember and things that are fuzzy. How could I check?
Thanks again for your help.
Jeremy
Hi,
When you add widget to sidebar, you will four key you need to enter:
– Consumer Key
– Consumer Secret
– Access Token
– Access Token Secret
Did you enter this keys? If not, you can find here how to obtain keys.
Hi,
Oh, yes I was in the process of trying to obtain those keys, using the very page you sent me. When I go to the Twitter developers page, click to make a new app, enter a name, description, website, agree to terms and then try to create the app I get the “Rate Limit Error” and cannot proceed to get the Consumer Key, Consumer Secret, Access Token, and Access Token Secret. That is where I’m having problems.
That’s strange!
Unfortunately I can’t help you with this. You should contact Twitter support or try searching on Google to see why you get that error.
I tried making the app again at Twitter and it worked! Weird.
The widget is working, but is not showing pictures…any idea why?
By default images are filtered because there isn’t enough space for text + images but you can customize this if you wish.
Is there a place for that in the options or would I have to dig into code to customize the plugin to show images?
Thanks for your help.
Unfortunately there isn’t option in plugin so you will need to play with code a bit. I will check this feature for future updates.
Ok. Thanks for all your help.
