Re-index Uploads folder?

    I’m moving a site between domains, and while I can move the media easy enough between the respective uploads folders (where I _think_ redirects and or search/replace in html will catch it,) I can’t get that media to show back up in the Media Library.

    Is there any way to force a WP install to rescan the uploads directory and catalog all the media that’s already there? Or is there a better way to handle this image migration?

    You need to change foldernames in database post file there are tools for that.

    Im actually needing something there can reindex image completly because i just move over 4 GB Image from one host to another but the backup i made from database was made, but i accidently deleted it so have about 100 images from the last 2 weeks missing in news / post from the last 2 weeks adn have search the net empty for a solution and NOTHING.

    I guess it is not possible because of meta data is taken from wp_posts and media doesnt have it own table which is kindda of stupid.
