    Hello,
I’m new to Testimonials (and WP in general) but generally happy with Easy Testimonials. My only question is how can one format the Blog Post? My Testimonials can be several paragraphs long so I opted to use the use_excerpt feature with the “Read Full Article…” link at the end.

When one clicks the “Read Full Article…” link, one is taken to a default Blog Post with a white background and side bar. I created a “Blog” page, formatted as desired and proceeded to the Settings => Read and set the Static Page: Post Page: = “Blog”

This did not produce the results I had hoped for as there was no change in how the ET Post was formatted.

This website is in development and will replace a live site so without allowing admin access, I have no link to show you. I am also comfortable with PHP if that is part of your answer.

    Thank you!

    forgot….

    I’m using Elegant Themes: Divi

I also wondered if this is a feature of the paid version (the documentation was ambiguous).

    Cheers~!

    Hello!

We currently don’t have styling applied to the output of a single testimonial, when viewed via the Read More link (this is an under development item that is not currently available.) So, that is why you don’t see things looking the way you are wanting!

To style the look of the Full, Single Testimonial, create a single-testimonial.php file in your Theme and then modify to your heart’s content.

    I hope that helps!

    Best,
    Richard

    Richard,
Thank you! your advice gets me most of the way there. As I said, I’m comfortable with PHP but I’m more of a cut&paste kinda guy at this point (still a student). Do you have (or can you point me to) a template I can use as a launching board? Are there any examples of php files used to format that I can look at and deconstruct?

Thank you again for your advice to me and others (I have read many of them and learned something from each response).

    Cheers~!

    Hey mfcummings!

We have updated our software to allow the Single Testimonial page to use the theme selected on the Theme selection screen.

This functionality pairs up with our new Custom Read More options, and should make this process work well for you.

    All the best,
    Richard

    Hi,

I see you talking about a new custom read more options. Where can I find that? I also want to change the full testimonial page, to show it in a different format. Is that possible now somewhere, or do still need to create my own single-testimonial.php file?

    Thank you for you help,
    Tobias
