How can I send a post using postie but it only shows an excerpt of my post with a read more link that goes to my site and displays the whole post?

There doesn’t appear to be a way right now for HTML emails. I’ve added this to a list of enhancements.

If you are using plain emails you can just put the  text in for email where you want it.
