    Hi,

That’s already set to on & I changed the amount of words to 20 & it still looks very long to me.

    This is on Brave.

    Hi @ep2012

There may be a conflict with one of your plugins or themes.
Please try deactivating all your plugins one by one and see which plugin is causing the problem and also try with another theme.
If you are still facing the same issue then let me know and also share your shortcodes and timeline screenshot.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,

So I can’t deactivate that many plugins & lose my settings for them. I just can’t.

We turned off the couple we think may be a conflict & that didn’t fix it.

Then I had Chris try it on his site & he got NO “Read More” link, only a […] so he can’t even test a link that doesn’t exist.

But like I said, even the amount of words is way over the 20 I put in that field.

It sounds to me like your plugin is broken in more ways than one, & I should probably look for another one. And I was potentially going to get your pro down the line too.

    Thanks

Can you please share the Chris’s timeline shortcode and screenshot of the timeline output so I can take a closer look.

    Thanks and Regards

    Hi @ep2012

This […] type of issue occurs due to the theme. To resolve it, kindly adjust the settings of the theme you are currently using.
Please let me know if you are facing the issue even after changing the theme settings.

Ok, we tweaked something in the theme, so now the read more link issue is resolved, but the fact that it looks like way more than 20 words is still a bug.

    Please fix.

    Thanks

    Hi @ep2012,

There is a conflict with your theme.

Please try to change the priority of the content length inside the code.

Go To: plugins\cool-timeline\includes\shortcodes\story-timeline\cool-timeline-shortcode.php at line no 23 and change to priority 999 to 9999 click here for more details.

Let me know if you are still facing the same issue after trying these.

    Thanks & Regards
