Hello KevinLycett,
it’s from the Tribe Events list widget. It adds the class=”eventmore”.
Can you deactivate it and test if it occures even more? Then contact these guys from Tribe, why this problem with other widgets occures.
Hi Kometschuh
Thanks for such a quick response.
I deactivated Tribe events list widget and the problem is still there. So it doesn’t look like their plugin is the cause?
I’m not shure, because the class=”eventmore” was not genereated from our widget. There have to be something in between.
And ‘eventmore’ sounds for me like the Tribe plugin or widget.
Anyway can you give me your settings for ‘Allow link in excerpt’, ‘Excerpt more text’ and ‘Disable the built-in CSS for this widget’?
All those fields are blank.
I discovered that when I add text to ‘Excerpt ‘more’ text’ field the link works, and the class ‘eventmore’ is no longer in the html.
This is good news!
@kevinlycett: You’re sure our widget files was not manipulated and this manipulation curse the HTML rendering error?
You can change the version number in [your-WP-installation]\wp-content\plugins\category-posts\cat-posts.php to 4.1.6 and update again to 4.1.7.
