Read more tag doesn’t work

    After the first sentence in my editor, when I click on the “insert read more tag” button, I get a dotted line with the word “MORE” in the middle.
    Although I have no possibility to update this word.
    After updating the webpage,full text is still visible.

    I’m doing something wrong, but what ?

    You are not doing something wrong. The More tag (or More block in the block editor) is conditional. It only shows a More link when the theme is displaying full content on archive pages. If you are on the single page or are showing excerpts, it is not used.
    Some themes have options to change the text used for the link (not sure if the block can be customized).
