    Hello,
I just in the past few days started getting a lot of emails that files have been deleted and changed on my website. I ran a scan and it came back with several read/write errors. When I click on them it takes a while to load and then comes up with a 404 page. Can you please tell me what the problem might be?
    Thanks!

If you hover over those links instead of clicking on them it may give you a little more info about why the file could not be read. I suspect there is a permission issue with the files in question but it could also be a memory or timeout issue with your server. It would also help if we understood how and ehy files were being deleted off your server. Check your error_log files to see if there are any clue there.

Well – I still have no idea what the read/write errors mean or what I should do about them unfortunately. Also I am now getting hundreds of ‘site database backup emails’ sent to my email account every day – is this from your plugin?

My Anti-Malware plugin does not backup your database or send emails.

As for the read/write errors, did you try the suggestion in my last reply?

Did you check the error_log files on your server? There could be a lot of answers for you in the error_log files…
