Hi @aayushk
1) Currently this is not possible, I’ll introduce this feature in the next update.
2) Double check if you have the correct timezone selected in your WordPress general settings page. I’ll also improve the way this is handled in the next update.
The next update should come out within a week.
Greetings, Carlos
Hello @carlosmoreirapt
Thank you for writing back to me and making a decision to introduce the features above in the next update. I am looking forward to the next update!
Best,
Aayush
@aayushk I just released v.1.7.5 with the ‘offset’ option, where you can set the ’45’ minutes from now minimum time. Also the timezone issue should be improved. Let me know if it works well and I can close this ticket. Greetings, Carlos
Hello @carlosmoreirapt
Thank you for the update! The offset feature is working great.
However, I am still having issues with the timezone. Please check the screenshot link: http://prntscr.com/nfjtpg
Thank you.
Hey @carlosmoreirapt Please look at this screen shot; its the most recent screenshot. http://prntscr.com/nftlku
Also, the offset feature is working great, however customer is still able to scroll back up to previous timings. How do I stop this from happening?
Thank you once again for a great plugin.
Hi @aayushk what is the timezone you have selected in your WordPress general settings page?
Hi @carlosmoreirapt
I have tried UTC-4 and also selected New York for the timezone.
However, still ran into issues.
You’re right @aayushk there’s something not working as it should. Also the fact that the picker uses the client side timezone, if the website has a different timezone, the calculations won’t match. I’ll have to work on fixing this for the next update. Thank you for the feedback so far.
Hello @carlosmoreirapt
Thank you for your kind reply.
Thank you for considering updating the plugin. I don’t want to be upfront, but is there a timeline when the next update will be released? Ofcourse, I understand you will have to take your time with this and update it at your convenience.
@carlosmoreirapt
Also,
I am not sure if the plugin uses the client side timezone. B/c I am in New York timezone and it still showed a different time.
Thank you.
@aayushk they are actually 2 different issues. In the backend, the plugin uses UTC to make calculations and when displaying the date time picker in the front, the script uses the client timezone according to the computer settings.
My plan is to have everything be based on the timezone set in the general settings. This way the value the site owner receives should always be the local time for him ( if the correct timezone is selected ).
I already have this solved in development, but now I’ll be more careful before releasing the update, since it will affect a couple of thousand sites. You can find the development version on the github page for the plugin (link is in the official plugin page at the bottom – but test carefully)
hi @aayushk update released where the timezone issue should be better.
Check if it works better.
Greetings, Carlos
@carlosmoreirapt
Hello,
Unfortunately, I am unable to locate the timezone changes. Can you please screenshot it for me?
Thank you.
