I love your plugin but now i have a trouble.

    1) i have about 20 products category in woocommerce + wpml shop
no produts at the moment as I just started the project

    2) i set 20 widget 1 for each products category and 1 for each language
so is about 40 widget …. and all WAS fine

    3) as soon as i started to add products into the first category (only that one) suddenly disappeared the dynamic widget control category visibility only for that category keeping the empty ones

    4) i did a second try with another category and also the visibility controller of that one disappeared after I add some products… so now i have 2 category controll missing from the category visibility list

    5) the issue is only for english language not for the italian one of the website

the same issue does not appear with other plugins for widget visibility

Are the categories between English and Italian linked to eachother in WPML? This is essential for DW to determine the categories to work in.

Hi, sure the category are linked together, and wpml woocomerce addon said all is ok.

Is your default language Italian? So, you probably only see the Italian categories. That’s actually exactly how it should be. DW looks at the default language and when it detects another language, it locates the corresponding category and acts as it was using the default language category.

    Default is italian.
DW locate correctly the related category if IT and EN if switch the button with flags on the top WPML.

I did that many times with simple pages or post and no problems.

    Now woocomerce comes out πŸ™‚

In both language all is fine till I add a product in the englsh languge… after that the english related category disappear from DW.
Also switching does not make category back.

Hmmm… I’m wondering what happens to the category. DW doesn’t ‘see’ it anymore for some reason. Maybe the category is changed to non-public? Cause DW does filter out the non-public categories.

Just thinking out loud here… so bear with me… πŸ˜‰ Because the default language is Italian and you add something to the English category. Am I right the Italian corresponding category is empty? Does it maybe re-appear when something is in the Italian category also?

    Is definitely strange.

    1) It happens only with woocommerce category

    2) Default lag is Italian / English the non default

    3) So I have categories products VISO / VISAGE products

    4) The problem is ONLY with english category

    5) If the category is left EMPTY no problem

    6) If add some products to the english category VISAGE DW is not able to see VISAGE anymore but Italian VISO still there and no problem.

    Very strange

I’m sorry, but I really have no clue why this happens. Fetching the categories from the WordPress system is a standard call being performed by DW. To me it looks like WooCommerce or WPML changes something at the category level that prevents DW from seeing it anymore. Question is: Why and which?

    Hi there

Another strange issue…. another website… but again with DW and WPML ….

    1) i have homepage as static page IT/EN

    2) I wish to have a text widget present one for IT homepage and another one for EN homepage

    3) default is EN and no problem with EN

    4) in IT homepage no way to make this widget to show ONLY in homepage and NOT in all the others page. If i set in DW pages setting tab just homepage and NO others still not showing in homepage.

Hmm… looking at your previous problem I have the feeling WPML has changed there way of linking objects to eachother. I will review my code and see if I can find something about it.
