FluentSMTP was working great and then last week it needed us to reauthenticate with gmail API. How often do we need to do this? We only set up FluentSTMP about a month ago. Does reauthentication need to happen periodically? How can we get notified when we need to since the email logs don’t work when it needs to be reauthenticated?

Thank you and let me know if you need more info.

    Hello @oliverrealize,

Regarding your question about the frequency of reauthentication, it’s not typically something that needs to happen regularly unless there are changes to your Gmail account settings. Specifically, if you change your Gmail password or if there are any other security modifications made to your Gmail account, Google will require you to reconfigure the connection within FluentSMTP.

Otherwise, under normal circumstances, reauthentication shouldn’t be necessary.

As for notifications when reauthentication is required, I understand your concern about the email logs not working in such cases. Currently, FluentSMTP doesn’t have a built-in feature for proactive reauthentication alerts. This is something I will forward to the relevant department for future updates. I would suggest configuring Telegram or Other available email failure notifications.

Please let me know if you have any further questions, and I’d be happy to assist!
