Thanks for bringing this up. At the moment, yes.
When I integrated Advanced noCaptcha reCaptcha, which still works well despite the lack of updates, Captcha by BestWebSoft did not include the new noCaptcha (version 2) method. Since noCaptcha performs better and is meant to supersede reCaptcha, I chose not to integrate that plugin.
But that was 3 years ago and I should have done a better job of monitoring the advancements in Captcha options. I see now that plugin does include noCaptcha as well as the new Invisible reCaptcha. So I will look into integrating it.
By the way, if you are the Stephen who emailed me earlier, I replied but my email was returned “undeliverable”. I tried the contact page on the email’s domain but got a 404.
Thanks, and yes I meant the “noCaptcha”, which is far less irritating to users.
I’m the same one who emailed you. I’ll check out the email issue, maybe I used the wrong prefix. The problem was that a nag banner from another plugin was blocking the “add new” button for views.
So just for clarity, is this something you’re planning to integrate right away, or down the road a bit? I set up everything but am not willing to use without a noCaptcha. (As of last night, BWS needs to update their plugin to 4.8 too.)
I’m in the middle of a big project at the moment. Can you give me about a week to work on it?
If you need it yesterday, try Advanced noCaptcha reCaptcha in the interim.
I do plan to improve that “Add New” button visibility.
Sure, no problem. Not a big rush; I’m still building the site. Just wasn’t sure of your timeline.
Thanks.
I spent 3 hours trying to integrate reCaptcha by BestWebSoft without success. The captcha displays on the form but never successfully validates.
Advanced noCaptcha reCaptcha will have to suffice for now.
I’m leaning towards adding noCaptcha and invisible Captcha to the plugin without relying on other plugins.
