I am unable to log in to any of my sites without disabling the Advanced Google ReCAPTCHA plug-in. I (and other people in my office) get validation errors in both v2 and v3. When I click the checkbox, I also get the “select a photo with” prompt, which has never happened before. Checking with you to see if it’s a known plug-in or Google issue, or the problem is unique to me. Thanks!

Sorry to hear about the issues 🙁

But we have 0 control of the captcha verification process after you click the checkbox. That is performed by Google over JavaScript. Once that is finished we only get a token submitted with the form. Google uses various factors to determine what challenge to display and how difficult it should be. If multiple computers in your office share the same public IP Google can end up showing more difficult challenges.

Thanks for your response. Is this something that could be specific to my web server configuration? I ran home at lunch to test from a different network, but still had the problem. Thanks for any additional advice you can offer.

It might be, I don’t know. Google isn’t open source so we don’t know how they determine the risk and difficulty for captcha challenges 🙁
