Registrants are receiving 2 Registration Confirmation emails. They look identical, and arrive at the exact same time. This occurs whether we use the same confirmation email for all events or a custom confirmation email for an event.

We are using {EVRREGIS} only once on the registration page. We receive only one email from other plugins.

What other troubleshooting can we do? This is plugin version 6.01.07.

Theme is Swagger. Here’s the registration page.

I tried disabling WordPress SEO by Yoast as suggested in this thread. Instead of 2 confirmation emails, we received 5.

What other troubleshooting can we do?

I would “walk through” each plugin disabling it to identify the conflict. Once the plugins are ruled out, Check the theme by switching to a WordPress default theme.

After troubleshooting, it appears that WordPress SEO by Yoast is causing the problem. Oddly, we had different results when testing locally and testing on the live site.

Local dev copy: deactivating WordPress SEO by Yoast caused 1 confirmation email to be sent.
Live site: deactivating WordPress SEO by Yoast caused 5 confirmation emails to be sent.

    What do you recommend?

This issue is often related to a page caching issue. Be sure that all SEO and security plugins and theme settings have the page that has the {EVRREGIS} code excluded.

The site has no caching enabled by the host, or via plugin, or through a CDN. We even tested by running in an Incognito window with cache disabled in Chrome’s dev tools. We are still getting duplicate confirmation emails (2 with WordPress SEO by Yoast activated, and 5 with it deactivated).

    What else can we try?

Try changing your theme to a one of the themes that comes with WordPress. You to isolate the cause before we can find a solution. If it is the theme, please provide me the theme details

We still get 2 emails with the Twenty Fifteen theme. The theme they normally have active is Swagger version 1.1.5.

Please confirm you are only using one shortcode on the page. Also if you include a link I can better assist.

Yes, the only thing on the Registration page is {EVRREGIS}, as I said in my initial post. Here’s the Registration page, which I linked to previously.

    Please try this
    sample site
I have created a standard wordpress site, 4.2.1 and purchased and loaded the themeforest theme Swagger, 2.1.8. No other plugins loaded and no adjustments to the theme. I loaded Event Registration plugin version 6.01.08 and configured a simple event.
I did a test registration and received only one email. Please do a sample registration to see if you experience the same.
Your site is experiencing a conflict, since I believe we have eliminated the conflict between plugin and theme by this example, you will need to iterate through every other plugin on your site, disabling and testing until you find the conflict.
The general cause of this error is page caching. Start with plugins that apply SEO, page caching, or other content manipulation.
