• I am using WordPress 4.4.1 running Storefront theme. I have not had any problems with Media until Thursday night and Friday morning. I uploaded several PNG images (per usual routine) and they show there in the Media Library, but when I click on the image, (i.e to edit it) the image is not there…it just shows a little icon with text under it that says “Edit Image”. When I click on the icon, the image pops up but does not appear the next time (when I use the arrow forward/backward). When I click within the product page to add images to set the product image or gallery, the images will show on the product page, but when you click the image the dialogue box says “Image cannot be loaded. Make sure the path is correct and image exists”. https://www.piperspixels.com/product/pipingsilhouettes/
Trying hard not to be too dumb here, so I’ve been reading all the blogs and comments and WordPress tips. I disabled plugins, rebooted computer, and tried another computer to see if it was just on the one PC, but without success. I deleted the images several times, re-saved them on my PC and uploaded them again, but no difference. There is something broke and I don’t know what. All the rest of my images work fine and are loading properly.
I am still learning about WordPress and am very naive about changing any codes, so please be specific in your response if you have any suggestions. I would appreciate any help!

    Thank you.

  • When I look at the Chrome browser’s developer console and visit the page you note, I see a series of 500 server errors are raised trying to access the photos you note.

In fact, trying to go to one of the pictures directly:
    https://www.piperspixels.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/pipingsilhouettes.png

    Gives the error:
The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.

This error indicates that the Microsoft IIS server your website is running on has a configuration error; namely, Chrome says there is a rewrite rule that is sending requests to something incorrect.

It looks to me like your site is hosted at infoquest. I would give their tech support folks a call and ask if they can help.
