recent incompatibility with Visual Composer
-
Some time ago something changed and HTML Editor Syntax Highlighter became incompatible with Visual Composer.
This is what happens to me now:
Visual Composer isn’t able to save data in the “text” textarea;
when I push “classic mode” the textarea is empty (and no line numbers);
if I push “visual” I obtain the original content, without the editings just done in Visual Composer;
if I then push “text” I now find the original content and line numbers appear;
if I update (post or page) only original content is saved.Syntax is higlighted fine and Ctrl-S works as usual.
Weird thing is that wp_debug says nothing as almost nothing is said on the jvascript console.
The browser I’m using is Chrome 43.
Wordpress is 4.2.2, both plugins are up to date.
There are many plugins in this system, but as a matter of fact if I disable VC or HtmlSH the other gets back to working normally, so it’s likely a problem with the two.I’m writing it here because afaik that this change happened with tha last update of HtmlSH: Visual Composer is a premium plugin bundled with the theme and I received only one update (manually installed) _after_ this change happend.
Second reason is that the two used to work well together in the beginning, so it shouldn’t be very hard to fix this.
Thank you for the plugin!
