Recent posts widget reversed posts?

    I am running 2.5, and just tried to use the Recent Posts widget. I viewed my site to see how it looked and my site was now displaying the oldest posts first, along with the widget. I removed the widget, and it now appears my site is stuck this way. How do I reverse this?
