One of the recent updates broke the way that formatting used to work. According to the More Parameters section under Custom Content Settings > Content,

format – add paragraph tags <p> and preserve line breaks
    – set to true/false – by default, post content is formatted and for all other fields, it’s set to false

I have a site where a LOT of post content is being passed through to Event posts (Marcus Sykes’ Events Manager plugin). That is, the post contains the content and the Event consists of [content name="Post Name"] Now this worked just fine for the month that I’ve been running the site, with paragraph breaks and line breaks being replicated on the Event Page just as they appeared on the Post page. But after an update this week, suddenly that paragraph formatting is being stripped from posts.

I can still get the look I want by changing the shortcode on each Event page to [content name="Post Name" format="true"], but I’d prefer not to have to manually edit 50+ events pages.

I’m assuming that this new behavior was unintended on your part. The plugin’s instructions (quoted above) make clear that post content formatting is supposed to be set to “True” by default. And I can attest that if it hadn’t been that way I wouldn’t have found your excellent plugin so easy to pick up and use as a noob.

You’re right, thank you for pointing this out! I believe this issue crept in during the big update to 1.3.0. It’s fixed in the latest update, so post content is formatted by default – the same behavior as before.
