Hi @starhorsepax2,
This message means that the memory allocated to your website is not enough to run your WordPress site with your chosen theme and all your active plugins. This issue can be resolved it by increasing the PHP memory limit in WordPress. To do this, review this article: Resolved: Allowed memory size exhausted
If increasing the memory doesn’t help, for me to understand and learn more about your setup, could you provide the following version of the following?
- PHP
- WordPress
- The Events Calendar
- Generatepress Version
Looking forward to helping you with this one.
I did try the health check disabling plugins and re-enabling that one but all I got where fatal errors.
PHP is 8.2, I think I set the memory to 512MB
WordPress is 6.8.3
Event Calender version with the issue: 6.15.6 – I had to roll back to 6.14.2 (last version I had a backup of)
Generatepress Version: 3.6.0
It’s also using Jetpack 15.0.2
WooCommerce 10.2.2
and a couple others….(as I said, not nearly as many as our other sites which run fine with the calendar.)

Hi @starhorsepax2
Thanks for your response.
Upon checking, we already have an internal bug ticket open for this specific problem (Reference: TCMN-193), and I’ve added this thread to our report.
We prioritize bugs by taking into consideration the number of users impacted as well as how the bug impacts one’s ability to run an event. I don’t have a specific timeline as to when this issue will be resolved, but trust that our team is aware. Our team communicates updates and bug fixes in our newsletter and via our changelog. We’ll also update this thread once the fix is out.
In the meantime, a temporary workaround is to downgrade The Events Calendar to version 6.14.2, which has resolved the issue for several users — including yourself.
Additionally, a few users have reported that clearing the shepherd_tec_tasks table in their database helped alleviate the problem as well. Please proceed with caution when making any direct changes to your database — and we always recommend creating a full backup before doing so.
I’m happy to help if any other questions are coming up around this topic, otherwise I’ll go ahead and close this ticket.
Thanks again for reporting this issue and for using The Events Calendar! Have a great day.

Hi there,
It looks like we haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’ll go ahead and close this thread for now.
If you need assistance with anything else, feel free to open a new thread—we’ll be happy to help!
For the record, it’s still breaking on update. Given the latest fixes are security fixes, this is concerning.
I’m having this same issue with my website. It’s very frustrating. Will there be a fix on the horizon?

Hi @starhorsepax2
Thank you for reaching out and for your patience. I completely understand how frustrating this issue can be. Unfortunately, the fix didn’t make it into our most recent release. That said, please rest assured that our development team is actively working on a resolution, and we expect to roll it out soon. We’ll make sure to update this thread as soon as the fix becomes available.
@jayjayel , I truly understand the inconvenience this may be causing. In the meantime, you can temporarily resolve the issue by downgrading The Events Calendar to version 6.14.2, or by applying the workaround shared in this support thread: link.
If it doesn’t help, please kindly open a new support thread so we can assist you properly.
