Recent Work slider exception and modification

Hello,

Thank you for this wonderful theme, it helped me a lot.

I’m using the Recent Work slider at the end of my articles to propose new posts to read to my visitors :

http://lanachorete.com/grain-de-rien/

I would like to modify a bit the code to attain two goals :

1. That the page displayed is not in the list of the slider.
2. If possible instead of manually implement the posts in the slider to automatically insert the last five articles.

Could you help me achieve that ?
