NGFB is not working well in conjuction with the plugin “WP Ultimate Recipe”, which adds tags to format a recipe properly on Google, Pinterest, etc.

NGFB adds metatags on the header that is scraped as a blank recipe, preventing Google and Pinterest to fetch the real one on the page’s body. The same problem may occour with other recipe plugins.

The page (currently with NGFB turned off and WP Ultimate Recipe on:

When I turn NGFB on, testing on Google’s Rich Snippet Testing Tool will report that there’s metadata for 2 recipes (https://developers.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/).

Is there a workaround to this problem (like disabling NGFB on specific posts only)?

NGFB uses the information available (content, excerpt, featured, attached media, etc.) to create accurate meta tags for Facebook, Google+ and others. The Pro version also includes 3rd integration modules to fetch information on product prices, etc., that WordPress does not manage (these 3rd party plugins use their own custom meta). If NGFB’s information is incomplete, then it’s probably because that recipe plugin is storing some information in custom meta as well. You could use any number of filter hooks to provide NGFB with the missing information, and/or turn off its meta tags on some pages. See the developer docs for more information.
