• I followed these instructions to add y Google Optimize container to GTM:

I also checked the option in the plugins Advanced tab (using version 1.9.2) to “Load GTM container as early as possible”. I am doing a full redirect test in Google Optimize, and when I turned the test on I saw the original page load before being redirected to the variation page.

I am just wondering what your best practices are for implementing Optimize and having the experiment load as soon as possible. Is doing so via the plugin still considered “experimental”?

Thanks for your great plugin and help in this forum.

    Hi,

The full redirect test will not guarantee that your original page will not flash for a second or so before the experiment page is shown.

I would stick to normal A/B tests using the editor provided by Optimize and perhaps using the integration of GTM4WP instead of an Optimize tag within your GTM container. This could improve latency times and also add the page hiding snippet of Optimize to reduce flickering on your pages
