Hi Felix,
Thanks for reaching out. As you’ve changed your site URL to include the www the plugin can recognize such changes and ask you to once again reconnect your site. It also may depend on how you’ve made the change. If you applied a default or preferred site address at host level without a redirection your non www site would still be assessible.
If you’ve been asked to reconnect you can follow the steps in order to get connected once more. In relation to your Search Console not working can you share details such as any error messages or notices and we can assist? You can also share your Site Health information privately via this form, allowing us to check your setup. This may in turn help us determine the cause.
Hello James,
I changed the URL because of cloudfare CDN so I think all of my websites pages are running with an www URL.
I also I have filled out the form that you have sent.
And I’ve already said that but my guess is that the property with the name centium100.com is not working because I verified it with an HTMl document and now my URL is http://www.centium100.com . And if i want to check any URL on my site it says that this URL does not exist. So i think i have to add a property with the name of http://www.centium100.comAnd your answer is that I have to just sign in again in my plugin to reconnect it with my site. Not clicking reset site kit.
Thanks for helping
Thanks for the update, good to know. If you had already verified your site without the www prefix before connecting Site Kit the plugin would not have created an additional property of your URL (with www). That’s the reason you may have been asked to reconnect.
And if i want to check any URL on my site it says that this URL does not exist.
Is this still occurring? If so can you share the link as seen in your Search Console dashboard, along with the full URL it’s directing you to?
So i think i have to add a property with the name of http://www.centium100.com<
You may be correct. Before setting up Site Kit as you already have your non www site verified with a HTML upload file it might be best to remove this verification before setting up the plugin. Site Kit can then create the verifications and add the Search Console properties for your site.
Hello,
Now the URL check is working it seems i made a typing error.
But my sitemap I sent google search console is now not working. Should I send another one?
And how can I see if my Google Search Console is working correct? Because maybe it is wokring now but I am now quit sure
Thanks for answeringI now connected the plugin and now I have 2 search console properties: centium100.com and http://www.centium100.com . Should I delete the old one because i have automatically a new one? Or is the old one still working? What should I do now?
And should I verify my new property nowIt’s normal to have variations of your site to be created in Search Console, to account for changes, such as migrating to https. You don’t need to delete any of these properties.
And should I verify my new property now
Certainly. You can attempt Site Kit setup, let me know how it goes.
I will try it but first I tried to send a xml sitemap which I created using Yoast SEO. My sitemap should be visible under this link https://www.centium100.com/sitemap_index.xml .But Google Search Console also says this sitemap could not be found. I also asked this question on the Yoast SEO Forum. Any tips?
And because of 2 Properties, both will show the same data and are connected to the same site as far as I understand. Right?`Now I verified my site ownership via a HTML document. But I had to overwrite the old one.

I can’t be sure on this, but the product experts at the Search Console Help Center should be able to assist.

Domain type properties aggregate the data across both www and non www, so there should be no issues there.

Great. When setting up Site Kit the plugin can ensure your site is verified with the connected property, it’s not necessary to manually verify although no issue if you decided to do so. The main thing is you are connected successfully. Can you confirm everything is working as expected now?
I fixed now the URL porblem with the XML sitemap but google still says it cannot be found. Or is it because it has not been crawled yet?
Yes there is no data of the search console in the site kit dashboard but the rest is working as it should.I fixed now the URL porblem with the XML sitemap but google still says it cannot be found. Or is it because it has not been crawled yet?
I can’t be sure about your sitemap setup, this is more a general Search Console query. Have you posted a question on the Search Central Help Center? You can also see this guide.
Yes there is no data of the search console in the site kit dashboard but the rest is working as it should.
That’s great, it shouldn’t take long before you have some data, providing you have some search traffic.
Ok thanks I will ask a question in the Google Search Console Forum.
Great. Thanks for using Site Kit. Once you get a chance to check out the various dashboards be sure to share your plugin review, we’d love to hear from you.
