    Hello,
We are looking at retrieving our retuning customers for classes over the last 3 years.
We have 3 main programs per year each with a specific name ex: Juggle.

The “juggle” programs will have about 12 different classes, all named Juggle 1, Juggle 2, etc…
Each class is a product represented by a tag in Jetpack crm.

Over 3 years we had 9 programs for a total of 100 products.

How can I create a segment showing the returning customers?
If I use “has tag”(100 tags), and “match all” I will have 0 entries.
If I use “Match any” I’ll have all the customers.

It would be feasible if there was also a tag per category, as I could group the products in categories. All the Juggle classes would be under one category “Juggle” with its own tab.

I don’t see the solution, can you help?

    Thanks

    Hi @esp5466 ,

Thanks for the detailed question — you’re thinking about this the right way.

Jetpack CRM does support filtering contacts using multiple tags through dynamic segments, but currently, the segmentation logic is limited to:

    • Match all: contact must have every selected tag
    • Match any: contact must have at least one of the selected tags

This means there’s no built-in way to filter by contacts who match two or more tags from a list, which is what you’re aiming to do to identify returning customers.

There’s also no feature to group related tags into categories (for example, having all “Juggle” class tags under a broader “Juggle” program tag).

    You can read more here:

    A couple of possible workarounds:

    • Export your contacts and analyze tag frequency in a spreadsheet, then tag returning customers manually or via import
    • Use the REST API if you’re comfortable with code to scan and tag contacts who have more than one relevant tag

If you’d find native support for this helpful, I’d encourage submitting a feature request here:
    https://jetpackcrm.com/feature-requests/

Hope this helps clarify things — let us know if you’d like help setting up one of the workarounds.
