    We’re planning to take our website offline for a complete redesign. Since recurring donations are processed through Stripe, I want to confirm that subscriptions will continue uninterrupted via Stripe while the website is down.

    Your Stripe subscriptions will continue to process even if your current site goes offline. However, once you launch your new site, it’s important to migrate those recurring donations properly—think of it as a data handoff between your old and new sites.

    Any time donations or e-commerce are involved, things can get a bit more complex. That’s why we strongly recommend following our detailed guide on redesigning your site without losing donation data:

    You’ll need to set up a local development environment (we personally recommend LocalWP), merge the data from your live site into your staging site following the steps in the guide, and then push the entire new site live once everything is confirmed and working.

    Thanks. Also for future reference if we moved from WordPress/WP Give the recurring donations will just continue as it’s now just a stripe subscription, correct?
