I have found a programming error that is preventing me from using the plugin.

I have used this plugin for years, but only now am needing to use registration.
We are using free registration for allow volunteers to join events to help a local charity.

For Recurring Events, the tickets do not work. However, in the create Recurring Events screen, I specify when the event is recurring, and to allow tickets up to 1 day before the event. There are 20 spaces.

So why was it telling me Booking Closed? On every single event? No one can register. It claims the date has past.

Then we opened a single instance of the recurring event, and it found that the allowed registration to and from dates for the tickets defaulted to 1969! I hope you can resolve this so that we can get volunteers signed up for the events.

Thank you, please let me know!

The tickets have the right dates, but it’s kind of more broken.
When I went to delete the broken recurring event, I got a list of errors. When I went back it was gone from the list, but it looks like the events are still showing up in the front end. I have duplicates now. The links appear to be broken though, if I try to view the duplicates it sends me home.
Can I send you a private message with the address?

It’s possible this is a conflict caused by your theme or another plugin. To check if it is, can you test with all other plugins deactivated and while running the default WordPress theme?

I did as you requested. The problem is still there, it is a problem with Events Manager. Can I send you the link to see for yourself?

Is this happening with one recurring event or do it happen with every recurring events you create?

I deleted the one that was doing it and tried to create new. Got this.

The event I made just now, while showing up in the back end, is NOT showing up in the front end. As opposed to my first comment, when I DELETED a recurring event, it still showed up in the front end, but not the back end.

Do you have a cache plugin running?

Can you post a link to your site?

No, I don’t. This is the development version. I have not yet updated on the live site until this is solved. http://responseit-hosting.ca/~habitat/events/
Volunteers are already pouring in so your help is greatly appreciated.

If every recurring event you create has this problem immediately, it sounds like you may have a corrupt database.

Can you create single events with tickets without a problem?

Tried making a single event, it didn’t show up in front end at all.
Made a recurring event on Tues/Thurs, it showed up every day between the dates specified and then oddly enough twice on Tues/Thurs. But in the backend the dates are correct.

Also we ran repair on all the em databases and the problem persists.

Is this same problem happening on your live site? If not, assuming the live and est site are otherwise identical, I’d say there’s database problem on the test site.

Was the test site copied across / duplicated from the live site in some way? That could have introduced some kind of corruption. I’d recommend uninstalling Events Manager using Events > Settings > General > Admin Tools, then reinstalling it.

No it’s not. The error began when I upgraded to the latest dev release as suggested by support. The live site doesn’t experience this problem because it is not updated, but as such is experiencing the 1969 date problem on recurring events tickets (no one can register). The live site is a replica of the dev site from before I upgraded to the dev version of EM.

I uninstalled and started fresh with EM on my dev site. It seems to be working okay now. They appear to be running the same version of EM. How is that possible, when the live one always shows 1969 as the cut off to register? I’ve tried with multiple events.
